~Tesoro Viejo Maternity Photos
Shooting a maternity session among the green grasses of Tesoro Viejo near Madera, California offers a naturally serene backdrop that feels both expansive and intimate. The rolling fields catch the light beautifully, creating soft movement and texture that complements the quiet anticipation of motherhood. With open space, gentle hills, and a calm rural atmosphere, Tesoro Viejo provides an ideal setting for maternity portraits that feel organic, timeless, and deeply connected to the landscape.
~Putting the Father Behind the Lens
I wanted to see how Calvin saw his wife, Victoria. So I gave him a camera and asked him to shoot. There’s something especially meaningful about a husband stepping behind the camera during a maternity session, capturing his wife in this fleeting season of pregnancy. His photographs aren’t about perfect posing or technical precision—they’re about intimacy, admiration, and the quiet pride of watching their family grow. Each image becomes a personal record of anticipation, preserving the way she moves, glows, and holds new life, seen through the eyes of the person who knows her best. The two photos below are from Calvin’s point of view.
